Project Overview
Hongya Cave is Chongqing's iconic landmark, renowned for its traditional Bajyu stilt-house architecture and layered mountainous urban layout. This renovation project covers exterior facade restoration and upgrades to indoor public spaces. The facade utilizes Mingzhu Master BBC inorganic colored mortar to restore the original stone and wood textures of traditional buildings, preserving Hongya Cave's unique "stilt houses on a cliff" aesthetic while enhancing its dazzling nighttime illumination.
Challenges and Requirements
Hongya Cave is a mountainous three-dimensional architectural complex with significant elevation changes and a complex structure, presenting extremely high construction challenges. During the scenic area's operation, construction must be carried out in phased zones to ensure uninterrupted visitor access. Due to Chongqing's hot and humid summers, the building facade must accommodate nighttime lighting effects, requiring coatings with excellent reflectivity.
Solution
Adopt Mingzhu Master BBC inorganic colored finish mortar to authentically replicate the stone texture and restore the architectural style of Bayu, creating a dazzling effect with night lighting. Its inorganic mineral composition resists UV rays and fading, ensuring long-lasting aesthetic appeal. A phased construction plan has been developed to execute concentrated work during overnight park closure hours, guaranteeing uninterrupted operations for the scenic area.
