Natural limestone in creamy white, light gray, and warm yellow tones—easy on the eyes and never dull. Perfectly complements a variety of styles.

Classic elegance

Replicate the elegant charm of limestone walls found in European century-old architecture, imbuing the space with a sense of historical depth.

Durable

Lime-based materials gain strength through gradual carbonation over time, becoming stronger the more they are used.

Why choose it

Limestone is the most common wall material in classical European architecture, defining the elegant tone of buildings from Parisian Haussmann apartments to Tuscan villas. However, natural limestone has high extraction costs and long processing times. Our Limestone Wall Panels replicate the fine texture and soft hues of natural stone using modern manufacturing techniques. With easy installation and controllable costs, this classic aesthetic is now accessible beyond just high-end projects.

Product Origin and Installation

Product Origin

The LimeStone Wall Material formula is inspired by traditional European lime plastering techniques. This craft dates back thousands of years in the Mediterranean, with ancient Romans using lime mortar to construct structures like the Pantheon. Modern LimeStone builds on this legacy by incorporating finely ground natural limestone powder and a small amount of polymer. This enhancement improves workability and surface smoothness while preserving the inherent breathability and antimicrobial properties of lime.

Construction Process

1

Surface Preparation: Level the wall and apply a lime-based primer.

2

Primer: Apply one coat of limestone primer, approximately 1mm thick. Sand after drying.

3

Topcoat: Apply Limestone topcoat 1-2 coats using a stainless steel trowel, approximately 0.5mm per coat.

4

Trowel finish: While the coating is semi-dry, repeatedly smooth with a trowel to create a fine surface.

5

Curing: Natural curing for 7 days or more; strength gradually increases during the lime carbonation process.

Real-world effect

After construction, the walls feature a soft off-white to light gray tone with consistent, warm hues. From a distance, the surface appears smooth and silk-like, evoking the elegant limestone finish of European classical architecture. Up close, the texture reveals an exceptionally fine grain—similar to polished marble but softer—with occasional subtle natural mineral specks. The touch is smooth and warm, reminiscent of jade, neither cold nor hot. Under angled lighting, the wall displays a gentle satin sheen with a restrained, understated luster.
