Why choose it
Exposed concrete is the signature language of architectural master Tadao Ando, whose unadorned aesthetic influenced an entire generation of architects. However, true exposed concrete demands exceptional formwork and pouring techniques, resulting in high costs and irreparable defects if errors occur. Our faux exposed concrete cladding replicates the visual essence of exposed concrete—gray tones, dense texture, and formwork marks—on standard walls. With easy installation and controllable costs, this minimalist aesthetic is now accessible beyond exclusive high-end projects.
Use Cases
Modern Office
Office spaces require a calm, rational atmosphere. The understated texture of Qing-style wall materials enhances the space's professionalism and quality.
Industrial-style space
The core element of industrial-style design is the concrete texture. Faux Qing wall materials give ordinary walls the soul of industrial style.
Art Gallery
A neutral background is essential for galleries to highlight artwork. The understated gray tones of Qing-style imitation wall finishes offer sophistication without distracting from the pieces.
Boutique Hotel
Boutique hotels pursue differentiated design; the minimalist texture of Qing-style imitation wall materials gives the space a unique personality and memorable identity.
Product Origin and Installation
Product Origin
The inspiration for our faux polished concrete material comes from the Japanese and German architectural traditions of exposed concrete. True exposed concrete demands extreme formwork precision and a single pour to achieve a finished surface with no additional treatment. Our faux polished concrete replicates this aesthetic on standard walls using a specially formulated cement-based coating. By precisely controlling aggregate particle distribution and application techniques, it faithfully reproduces the characteristic gray tones, dense texture, and subtle formwork marks of authentic exposed concrete.
Construction Process
Base treatment: Level the wall to ultra-high precision with tolerances within 2mm.
Primer Sealing: Apply one coat of specialized primer to ensure coating adhesion and uniformity.
Face coat application: Scrape the imitation clear topcoat 2 times using a specialized trowel, with each layer approximately 1mm thick.
Template Texture: Stamp joint and bolt hole marks with a template tool while the material is still damp.
Sealant Protection: Apply one coat of water-based sealant to enhance stain and wear resistance.
Real-world effect
The finished walls feature a uniform light to medium gray tone, exuding a cool and understated elegance. From a distance, the surface appears smooth and mirror-like, conveying the solemnity of exposed concrete. Up close, subtle formwork textures are visible, including regular seam lines and circular bolt hole marks, giving the wall the authentic appearance of cast-in-place concrete. The surface feels solid and smooth to the touch, similar to polished concrete, with a fine grain that is slightly textured but not rough. Under angled lighting, the formwork patterns create orderly shadows and highlights, enhancing the space's calm and rational atmosphere.
